This is the hypertext garden of phasewalk1; a place for musings, ideas, and digital artifacts. Below is a brief introduction to who I am and what I’m passionate about. At the bottom of this page lays contact information for getting in touch with me, as well as instructions for navigating this garden. Enjoy your stay!

Intro

Hello! I’m a transhumanist cypherpunk, studying Pure Mathematics at UC Berkeley. I’m primarily interested in cryptography, privacy-tech, p2p networks, open-access, and the intersection of mathematics and computer science.

In my spare time I contribute to open-source software, write about privacy and security, and work on various independent projects. Currently I’m entering my second semester as a Junior here at Berkeley, and I’m planning on taking the following courses: Real Analysis, Discrete Mathematics and Probability Theory, Elementary Algebraic Topology, and Structure and Interpretation of Computer Programs.

For more about what animates me, see the Mission page.

Pseudonym

phasewalk is the siren’s action skill. It renders her invisible to the enemy, invulnerable to damage, and increases her movement speed.

For these reasons, I’ve adopted the pseudonym as a symbol of my commitment to privacy, security, and freedom. We must build technologies that render us invisible to the enemy, invulnerable to damage and corruption, and increase our movement speed in coordination and organization.
